The HRDC’s Homeownership Center: Foreclosure Intervention Counseling

  1. Come to HRDC office at 32 South Tracy and pick up a “Foreclosure Intervention Process” packet.
  2. COMPLETE the packet that you have picked up at HRDC (wait to sign and date until you arrive at the scheduled appointment). Gather ALL DOCUMENTS requested. Make COPIES of all your documents.
  3. Once you have completed Step Two (above), call The HomeOwnership Center and speak to Roselle Shallah at 406-585-4895 or Ken Martinez at 406-585-4875 to set up an appointment.

Come to your scheduled appointment with the COMPLETED packet.  You will sign and date everything at the appointment.   Be sure to have a Hardship Letter written and included in the packet.  Write this hardship letter in your own words. One page, typed (if possible)  and signed by both all borrowers. Be clear and use facts when possible (dates, previous versus current wages, etc.)

*Your Foreclosure Intervention Counselor will submit the documents to your Servicer.

*Be prepared to provide updated documents as requested.

*Yes, It is a lot of work but well worth the trouble to keep your home.

Fill out and bring all documents required by Financial Information for IndyMac – attached Document

See if your loan is backed by Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac
