HRDC is experiencing challenges with keeping up with the demand for senior services.
Over the course of the last year, the non-profit has provided supportive services to 1,848 seniors while witnessing an all-time high of nearly 145 seniors experiencing homelessness.
With the continuous need for services, HRDC is facing a $50,000 budget gap in its senior programs.
“We’re always looking for help and support from our community financially. It helps diversify our funding; it gives us the ability to have unrestricted funds to help with our programs,” said Dana Mitchell, HRDC senior programs manager.
