Good Neighbor Project
HRDC has created the Good Neighbor Project to better foster a welcoming neighborhood environment, encourage community collaboration in addressing homelessness, and proactively address any challenges related to Homeward Point’s location.

OUR GOOD NEIGHBOR PROJECT INCLUDES
1. Your Neighborhood Outreach Liaison is available to support residents and businesses with issues related to homelessness.

2. Incident/Concern Matrix: A tool to help businesses in their interactions with neighbors experiencing homelessness. (Click to view Incident Concern Matrix)
3. Dedicated Litter Patrol: HRDC provides a dedicated staff member five days a week to pick up litter in the neighborhood.
4. Neighborhood Clean-Up: HRDC engages community and service groups to clean our neighborhood streets Monday-Friday.
5. Neighbor Advisory Forum: Meets bi-weekly to discuss issues/concerns and devise and implement tangible solutions for the Old Town neighborhood.
6. De-escalation Training: Training is free for anyone in the community and is offered upon request. To schedule a training, please email Jenna Huey at jhuey@thehrdc.org.
