HRDC Statement
On Monday, January 27th, President Trump signed a memo directing all federal agencies to temporarily suspend grants, loans, and assistance programs until those programs could be reviewed for compliance with recently issued Executive Orders. In short, federal agencies cannot pay out any money until they’ve passed the review. Today, this memo was blocked by a federal judge, pausing the proposed funding freeze until February 3rd.
As of January 28th, 2025, HRDC is continuing operations without disruption. We are closely monitoring the situation and will provide updates on any changes to our programs.
Federal funding is a key part of our diversified funding strategy and is interwoven into the 70 programs we operate. While we are still assessing the full financial and programmatic impact, our immediate priority is saving lives by ensuring vital services remain available to those who need them most.
Continued community support is critical for our ongoing operations. Donations can be made at thehrdc.org/donate.
