HRDC’s Senior Program includes Medicare counseling, emergency food, transportation and housing support and the list goes on.
Margaret Mason, HRDC’s Director of Senior Programs, stated HRDC served over 2,200 seniors last year in Gallatin, Park and Meagher counties. That number has been climbing steadily, which could become problematic as the organization faces new funding challenges.
“There were a lot of state and federal funds that came through the pandemic. Those have all stopped, they dried up. So, those resources are not available like they used to be. So, identifying and finding the supports more challenging than it used to be,” said Mason.
