The Humble Homes are two “tiny homes” built by HRDC, architecturally designed for the land, to demonstrate the local demand for modest entry-level homeownership opportunities in Bozeman. The Humble Homes are single family homes located at the corner of 24th and Beall on the west side of Bozeman. The homes are equipped with full garages and an over-sized crawl space to compensate for the small square footage. The smaller Tidbit has just over 300 square feet with a sleeping loft and was priced for households earning 80% of the area median income. The larger Box Loft has just over 600 square feet and was priced for households earning 80% of the area median income. Humble Homes are land trust homes meaning the affordability is preserved through the use of a ground lease and restrictions are placed on the homes to prevent their usage as a vacation home or rental unit.
